Crocodiles

Dream Tip Number 3:

After having a dream, ask God for wisdom, revelation, interpretation, discernment & knowledge in regards to the dream.

*

Today, I'm going to mention 4 different dreams regarding crocodiles and what I believe their meanings are.

Dream 1

I had this dream October 2016. I was at home and Holly (a child) came and spent time with me. Then a boy turned up. His dog was still coming, but was taking a long time. I was concerned as there were very large saltwater crocodiles all over these like mud flats that were in view from my house. I warned the boy about them and his dog. He still wasn't overly concerned, perhaps because they were lying in wait, not active. I was really concerned about the crocs everywhere as it was nearly school let out time.

Interpretation: Holly was the Holy Spirit. The boy was risking his life because of his dog. I was up high and could see this danger lying in wait. In the dream I warned the boy and his dog (companion), but they still weren't concerned, perhaps because the crocodiles looked as though they were asleep. School let out time, is most probably Schoolies (high school graduates having a week long holiday en masse in the one place).

So who are the crocodiles in this dream? Most likely those who hang around schoolies and prey on those who go. Prayer was what was needed, over the whole situation of schoolies week for that year.

Dream 2

I had this dream later in October 2016. A crocodile tried to knock me off a log to place me in the water.

Interpretation: I believe this dream is about pride. My pride at the time was capable of knocking me off the log and placing me in danger. Pride is very dangerous.

Dream 3

I had this dream in July 2017. I was watching/witnessing a family going for a walk where there were alligators in the water. People didn't take this too seriously though. A man, another family member, and a toddler girl were taking a walk, when all of a sudden an alligator jumped out of the water and started attacking this toddler. The father and others were oblivious because they had walked on ahead (not looking back and checking on her at all).

Interpretation: No-one was watching the child and therefore she was open to attack. Again, this animal is a threat of danger.

Dream 4

I had this dream in November 2017. I was up high, looking down. People were wading through this large lake in which they had nearly come to the other side, but some were were still in and around this lake. I noticed a VERY LARGE crocodile come out of nowhere and enter the lake. There was more to this dream, but the crux of it was that there was danger and there was a non-audible warning being given to these people.

Interpretation: Again, the crocodile represented danger, and it was going into where many people were. *

Crocodiles and alligators usually mean danger, seen, and unseen danger (especially in water - submerged beneath the surface lurking). And usually these dreams that contain crocodiles, are given as warnings.

These are my dreams and my experiences, and although I believe that they always represent danger (physical and/or spiritual), one must ALWAYS ask God for interpretation of one's own dreams for full and specific interpretation.

The Television

Tip number 2: I find having something like an exercise book for writing my dreams down into neatly from my night's scribble version has been good for me.
On the front of the exercise book I write down the dated period of dreams.
I date each dream when I write it into the exercise book page.
I also have a small alphabet book (like the old telephone A-Z Index). Every time I have a dream I add it.
For example, say I have a dream about a house. I go to 'H' in my alphabet index book and write down 'house' and the date of the dream that I just had. That way, down the track if I'm looking for this particular dream, I look up 'H', then 'house', and I have the date right there in front of me. Saves me flicking through pages and pages, books upon books for a dream that I want to re-read. (Common themes can show up this way too. I can see what I have a lot of dreams about. For example, I've had a lot of dreams about being the driver of vehicles.)
The Television: 3 Dreams
21/2/2016 - There were different groups of people all sitting around watching different things on different televisions. I went for a walk for some reason, and was getting in people's way of the programs they were watching on the television.
7/4/2016 - I was explaining to a Christian about the spiritual battle that was going on nationally through the television channels - their programs, and their effects on people.
April 2016 - I was trying to get someone's attention. This person was watching television (no program in particular), and I was smashing down a very large glass jar on the bench trying to gain their attention over and over (I can't believe it didn't break). I just could not get their attention. The television had their full and total attention. This person just kept staring straight ahead at it.

Interpretations:
1st Dream: This dream is likely to mean that people don't like missing their television hours and/or programs. (This could even be to the point that they don't go out at specific times or days so they can watch their programs.) Basically, they don't like anything getting in their way of their allotted time or schedule.
2nd Dream: This dream was specific to Christians.
Not all Christians see that television can have a spiritual pull.

There's the pull of the television having to be on in the background (white noise or companion).
There's the pull of needing/wanting to be continually up-to-date with the current news (overloaded).
There's the pull of relaxation into a world that's not real (escapism). There's the pull of living many hours each week in a zoned out state in which one does not have to think (entertained).
There's the pull of habit (now a part of your daily life).
There's the pull of the sitcom (for a laugh). But many sitcoms are far, far, from Christian morals and standards.

Of course not all television is a problem. There may be a movie you might enjoy or a documentary you're interested in. The thing is, as Christians we have to be real about, why we watch television, what we watch on television, the amount of television we watch cumulatively, and any affect it may have on us personally or others in the same household.
As Christians, we need to also be aware of the airways. For example, when we worship God we're reaching out to God into the airways and reaching (an opening) into His realm, when we're watching say a documentary on say plants the airways are pretty neutral, but when we watch say a horror movie or dark humour we can open the airways into the enemies realm.

3rd Dream: This dream is all about the pull and complete focus that television can have on a viewer (regardless of the program/content).

End note: People got excited when television was introduced. They could now see rather than just listen. But it's easy to forget what types of shows started out on the television and how the hours were restricted. Today, one has the option of hundreds of channels 24/7. We may think this is progress and a treasure of sorts, but at what cost?

Sharks

Welcome to my new blogspot - Dream-Line.

I've started this new blogspot to share some dreams that God has given me over the years, and the interpretation.

Why am I sharing my dreams?

Because they might remind you of a dream that you once had, or it might prompt you to look closer at your dreams, or perhaps something that I share about one of my dreams may bring back a memory of one of yours.

Please do not take any part of my dream or any part of the interpretation and apply it to your own dreams. Only The Holy Spirit can give you true interpretation. Some Christians can interpret other people's dreams correctly and precisely, but it is a unique gift given to some (such as Daniel in the Bible) but not an overall blanket to all.

If you have a dream or have had a dream and you don't know the meaning, you can ask God for the interpretation in Jesus' Name.

Each blog I'll look to include a tip in regards to dreams.

Today's tip: Have a notepad, pen and small torch (if you don't have a bedside lamp) handy so that you can write a dream down quickly, quietly (esp. if others are in the house). You are more likely to write down a dream if you can do it whilst still in bed.

Theme: Sharks

Dream 11 August 2016 Name: Being Hooked.

I was somewhere where there was a large group of people. I felt I knew them well enough to speak to them. One of the boys (around the age 10-12) was fishing. Anyway his line took off and you could see that he had a large sea animal of some sort on his line. As it got closer and closer you could see how massive this fish was, and one could now recognise that it was a very large shark. To my surprise the boy just kept reeling it in. This shark was massive and yet the boy had no trouble reeling it in and up to where we were. We were all on some sort of enclosed platform up high. The best thing that I can describe what we were on, was up on a viewing platform on a lighthouse with a railing all around. This massive shark wasn't heavy, for some reason, and was effortlessly reeled up to the platform. Interestingly it wasn't heavy either as it was being handled and held by those who were up on this platform. These kids were like patting it and putting their hands and arms near its head.
I kept warning everyone. I kept saying that my dad has been a fisherman all of his life and you can't pull up a massive shark like that on the kind of line. It's just impossible for it not to have snapped. I also kept warning them about putting their hands and arms near its mouth.
But the warnings weren't heeded; everyone was so caught up in this shark that the excitement overflowed, and people were just flocking to where this shark was.

Interpretation:
  • The curiosity of seeing the shark far outweighed any warning bells.
  • The boy represents two things, both: being child-like in his belief that nothing's impossible (raising up something much heavier than he could physically, and also believing that this thin fishing line could hold without snapping), but he also represents immaturity in that he wound in (brought close) something that was far too big and powerful than him, in essence he was reeling in danger and bringing it up close and personal.
  • The (fishing) rod may represent, authority, but it may also represent magic (a magic wand is also known as a magic rod).
  • This massively heavy shark was coming up as if this boy was reeling in a sand whiting. Why was it easy to pull in this shark? Because the shark wanted to come close.
  • There is a real lack of discernment by the boy, but also by those who were flocking to it as an attraction, and those who were patting it (even though I was warning them that they were too close to it's mouth).
  • Interestingly too, in this dream, the people were both adults but also children, at the same time. I believe this means 'immature adults'. Immature in discernment. Immature in being drawn to dangerous things. Immature in not listening to sound advice (I was advising not to bring it in - it is bad news!). Immature in flocking to things that 'marvel'.
  • Another thought, could be, that the shark represents, money! Loads of people just love attractions of all sorts. If you have something to show, you can bring in money. Circus' come to mind: Trapeze acts, Tightrope walking, stunts, Lion Tamers,

Dream 2  10th March 2017 Name: Endurance

I had to go around a very large very deep in-ground indoor swimming pool. It was going to take around 2 to 3 hours. Some of the way I was allowed to swim, but other parts I had to either tread water on the spot. I'm not sure why, they were just the rules. As I was going around I heard others (those watching) talk about the sharks in the water, particularly in certain sections of the pool. This caused me some fear; but I made it through to the finish.
Once you start, there was no way of getting out until you had finished (there was no ledge (at all) to pull/lift oneself up/out/onto).
The only way to get out was by finishing the course.
It was more like an endurance event, rather than a race.

 Finished and now resting.

Interpretation:
  • Endurancethe ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way, and, the capacity of something to last or to withstand wear and tear. (Google.)
  • We need to finish the (our individual) race. Hebrews 12:1-2. This is never a race against others; rather, this is a race against not finishing that which God has set before us. As Paul writes here in Hebrews 12:1-2, we need to lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and run with endurance.
  • Many races are quick and fast; but that way is not good for endurance.
  • I need to focus on what's ahead (always looking forward), not on the sharks that surround me. Philippians 3:13.
  • The sharks will be in the same body of water. I didn't know they were in there. The water was deep and dark.
  1. My focus can be on the sharks. OR
  2. My focus can be on God and finishing the race that is set before.
Conclusion regarding both dreams:

Sharks can represent:
  • Those who want to instill fear.
  • Those who are greedy.
  • Entertainment. Attractions.
  • False prophets.
The Bible talks a lot about false prophets who do signs and wonders. These false prophets are not of God. These ones will look for their own glory. These ones will look for their own will and purposes. These ones will look for their own agendas. These ones will love their own platform.

But there will be some of God's people who do signs and wonders. But they will only do them at the call of God. Moses, Aaron, Elijah, Elisha all did signs and wonders, at the call of God. They do them for God's glory.

Recorded in Matthew, Mark and Luke, we read, that, when asked questions from His disciples as to what's ahead (the times and seasons, etc.) the first thing Jesus said to them, is to make sure that you are not deceived by any. This was His number one priority! Matthew 24:4, Mark 13:5, Luke 21:8. The shark in my first dream, is a shark who performs signs and wonders, and is an attraction in itself. BEWARE!!!
