I've started this new blogspot to share some dreams that God has given me over the years, and the interpretation.
Why am I sharing my dreams?
Because they might remind you of a dream that you once had, or it might prompt you to look closer at your dreams, or perhaps something that I share about one of my dreams may bring back a memory of one of yours.
If you have a dream or have had a dream and you don't know the meaning, you can ask God for the interpretation in Jesus' Name.
Each blog I'll look to include a tip in regards to dreams.
Today's tip: Have a notepad, pen and small torch (if you don't have a bedside lamp) handy so that you can write a dream down quickly, quietly (esp. if others are in the house). You are more likely to write down a dream if you can do it whilst still in bed.
Theme: Sharks
Dream 11 August 2016 Name: Being Hooked.
I was somewhere where there was a large group of people. I felt I knew them well enough to speak to them. One of the boys (around the age 10-12) was fishing. Anyway his line took off and you could see that he had a large sea animal of some sort on his line. As it got closer and closer you could see how massive this fish was, and one could now recognise that it was a very large shark. To my surprise the boy just kept reeling it in. This shark was massive and yet the boy had no trouble reeling it in and up to where we were. We were all on some sort of enclosed platform up high. The best thing that I can describe what we were on, was up on a viewing platform on a lighthouse with a railing all around. This massive shark wasn't heavy, for some reason, and was effortlessly reeled up to the platform. Interestingly it wasn't heavy either as it was being handled and held by those who were up on this platform. These kids were like patting it and putting their hands and arms near its head.
I kept warning everyone. I kept saying that my dad has been a fisherman all of his life and you can't pull up a massive shark like that on the kind of line. It's just impossible for it not to have snapped. I also kept warning them about putting their hands and arms near its mouth.
But the warnings weren't heeded; everyone was so caught up in this shark that the excitement overflowed, and people were just flocking to where this shark was.
Interpretation:
- The curiosity of seeing the shark far outweighed any warning bells.
- The boy represents two things, both: being child-like in his belief that nothing's impossible (raising up something much heavier than he could physically, and also believing that this thin fishing line could hold without snapping), but he also represents immaturity in that he wound in (brought close) something that was far too big and powerful than him, in essence he was reeling in danger and bringing it up close and personal.
- The (fishing) rod may represent, authority, but it may also represent magic (a magic wand is also known as a magic rod).
- This massively heavy shark was coming up as if this boy was reeling in a sand whiting. Why was it easy to pull in this shark? Because the shark wanted to come close.
- There is a real lack of discernment by the boy, but also by those who were flocking to it as an attraction, and those who were patting it (even though I was warning them that they were too close to it's mouth).
- Interestingly too, in this dream, the people were both adults but also children, at the same time. I believe this means 'immature adults'. Immature in discernment. Immature in being drawn to dangerous things. Immature in not listening to sound advice (I was advising not to bring it in - it is bad news!). Immature in flocking to things that 'marvel'.
- Another thought, could be, that the shark represents, money! Loads of people just love attractions of all sorts. If you have something to show, you can bring in money. Circus' come to mind: Trapeze acts, Tightrope walking, stunts, Lion Tamers,
Dream 2 10th March 2017 Name: Endurance
I had to go around a very large very deep in-ground indoor swimming pool. It was going to take around 2 to 3 hours. Some of the way I was allowed to swim, but other parts I had to either tread water on the spot. I'm not sure why, they were just the rules. As I was going around I heard others (those watching) talk about the sharks in the water, particularly in certain sections of the pool. This caused me some fear; but I made it through to the finish.
Once you start, there was no way of getting out until you had finished (there was no ledge (at all) to pull/lift oneself up/out/onto).
The only way to get out was by finishing the course.
It was more like an endurance event, rather than a race.

Finished and now resting.
Interpretation:
- Endurance: the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way, and, the capacity of something to last or to withstand wear and tear. (Google.)
- We need to finish the (our individual) race. Hebrews 12:1-2. This is never a race against others; rather, this is a race against not finishing that which God has set before us. As Paul writes here in Hebrews 12:1-2, we need to lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and run with endurance.
- Many races are quick and fast; but that way is not good for endurance.
- I need to focus on what's ahead (always looking forward), not on the sharks that surround me. Philippians 3:13.
- The sharks will be in the same body of water. I didn't know they were in there. The water was deep and dark.
- My focus can be on the sharks. OR
- My focus can be on God and finishing the race that is set before.
Sharks can represent:
- Those who want to instill fear.
- Those who are greedy.
- Entertainment. Attractions.
- False prophets.
But there will be some of God's people who do signs and wonders. But they will only do them at the call of God. Moses, Aaron, Elijah, Elisha all did signs and wonders, at the call of God. They do them for God's glory.
Recorded in Matthew, Mark and Luke, we read, that, when asked questions from His disciples as to what's ahead (the times and seasons, etc.) the first thing Jesus said to them, is to make sure that you are not deceived by any. This was His number one priority! Matthew 24:4, Mark 13:5, Luke 21:8. The shark in my first dream, is a shark who performs signs and wonders, and is an attraction in itself. BEWARE!!!
